Being an academic coach is meaningful work and you deserve to get credit for your volunteer service! Below we’ve provided the information you need to get your hours verified.

1. Add us to your volunteer tracking platform

If you just need a supervisor’s info to log your hours, use:

📢 If you're submitting hours to a site, make sure any verification emails are sent to support@upchieve.org, and include the date range for the hours you completed (you can add it in the description or notes if there’s no option to select it).


2. We can sign YOUR FORM

Submit a signature request by completing the form below. Please fill out all fields except the signature, name, and date signed. Our supervisor supports thousands of volunteers and cannot complete blank forms, so requests missing a name or number of hours won’t be signed. Requests are processed within 8 business days.

3. We can provide a signed letter

📌Note:

  • You’ll need to be fully onboarded and have completed at least one tutoring session to request a verification letter.

  • Letters aren’t generated for elapsed availability hours only—you’ll also need to have passed a quiz, referred a volunteer, or done some tutoring.

  • No! You do not need to email us asking if you can get your hours signed. The answer is always yes. Whenever you do need your hours, simply complete any of the above steps.

How do I calculate how many hours I've completed? +

  • You can find your hours on your dashboard when you sign in to your account or from the weekly hour summary emails you receive every Monday. We also encourage coaches to track their own hours. For more guidance, please review this article.

Can I request a letter for hours I plan to volunteer? +

  • No. We can only verify volunteer hours that you have completed.

Do you provide letters of recommendation or serve as a reference for a job? +

  • No. We don't provide letters of recommendation or serve as a reference for a job.
